For over 30 years I have been involved with the development and implementation of marketing and technology solutions for businesses and organizations throughout the United States. I am a business developer, marketing contractor/consultant and a media producer of print, photographic, graphic, audio, video, film and Internet technologies.

Over the past two and a half decades I have had many opportunities to observe and experience a full spectrum of accomplishment and disappointment. Both, I consider to be invaluable. These experiences and their resulting outcomes have served me to develop an asset base of skills, insights and perspectives that are beneficial for businesses or organizations that wish to engage my services.

My primary interest lies in managing processes and building teams that identify and find marketing and technology based solutions for businesses and organizations, and to do it with empathy, expertise and good humor.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and coordinate advertising, marketing and promotional plan, strategies and budget.
• Develop strategic marketing partners
• Recruit, hire and manage marketing/sales representatives.
• Develop and manage sales goals and activities.
• During 12 month period that I was responsible for marketing and sales the wireless data customer based increased over 200%.


 

1984-1997 Phoenix Systems - Vice President/Partner
Phoenix System – A National Marketing & Media Consulting firm.


Responsibilities:
• Business development (marketing, training, advertising, media production and market research)
• Recruit, hire and manage marketing/sales representatives & media production specialists (graphic designers, videographers, copywriters, etc.)
• Develop and manage sales goals and activities.
• Manage market research and media projects (timelines, budgets, personnel and outside vendors)
• During the 12 years with Phoenix Systems we developed a reputation for providing high quality marketing services for businesses and organizations, both large and small throughout the United States. We provided products and services to all types of businesses and organizations, but developed specialties with entities that served the mature market and healthcare.


 

1975-1984:  University of South Dakota School of Medicine – Audio Visual Services - TV Production Manager


Responsibilities:
• Development of multi-media programs materials for training and public relations (photography, audio, video, displays, etc.)
• Direction, writing, audio/video production and editing for institution on a state-wide basis.
• Clinical photography and videography
• Coordination of audio visual equipment



1974-75 KUSD TV – Television producer, director, production assistant, engineering technician (part-time).


Responsibilities:
• Direction and technical direction of news, public affairs and sports programs
• Lighting, camera operation, audio mixing/editing, remote production assistance
• Master switching and video tape machine operation
